Real Estate Attorneys to Speak at Florida Realtors® Convention

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has implemented numerous regulatory changes that are significantly impacting the real estate settlement process.

Florida ARECS is pleased to have two of its members addressing attendees at the 2015 Florida Realtors Convention on these timely topics.


The Contract

How will the CFPB regulatory changes affect the Florida Realtors®/Florida Bar Residential Contract? G. Thomas Ball of Baker & Hostetler, LLP, Orlando, will answer that question when he presents “CFPB Related Changes to the FR BAR Contract” on Friday. On Saturday, Melissa Murphy will present "Viewing CFPB Changes Through the Eyes of Lenders, Title Insurers and Closing Attorneys", along with Penny Reed, Vice President of Strategy and Financial Reform for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
