Objectives for 2019-2020

  • Complete FLARECS.COM Dashboard – When completed this new tool will allow REC leaders and administrators to manage their organizations in one simple application. Features will include Membership Management, Event Management, Calendaring and Communications.  Phase I is currently being tested by Bay Area, Broward and Central Florida.
  • Expand Opportunities with local Realtor® Associations – Florida ARECS directly or through our local RECs has developed relationships with 22 local Realtor® associations and we plan to build on those accomplishments over the next year.
  • Sponsorship of Residential Real Estate & Industry Liaison Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of The Florida Bar (RPPTL) – The Fund generously paid to sponsor this important RPPTL committee on behalf of Florida ARECS. As a result we can partner with a key industry organization and share the message of the Real Estate Councils with real estate attorneys from across the state.
  • Law School Outreach – Florida ARECS will collaborate with RPPTL through our Director Lynwood Arnold, who is also Chair of the RPPTL Law Schools Committee, to offer professional development opportunities to students interested in a career in real estate. If you are involved with any law schools and would like to help, please contact Rene’ Rutan at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  • Employer-based Consumer Real Estate Literacy Program – If the Great Recession was any indication, consumers need better access to information teaching them about the process to buy and sell real estate and how to select the mortgage option that is best for them. Stay tuned for updates coming later this year!

On Thursday and Friday, Florida ARECS hosted a booth in the Fund Assembly Expo where REC members gathered throughout the event, especially during the Thursday Reception. We recruited new members and shared the latest information on our resources including:

  • Realtor® Education Library Guide
  • Standardized Law Symposium Information
  • Member Marketing Materials
  • FLARECS.COM Demonstrations

Florida ARECS held its Annual Assembly REC Leadership Forum on Friday afternoon and it was standing room only (truly!).  We were thrilled to see approximately sixty local REC leaders attend.  Did you realize that the state REC, Florida ARECS, will be five years old this August?  So we took a look back to see where we started and how far we have come.  Here are a few points illustrating where we are today:

  • Twenty-one Real Estate Councils
  • Over 1100 Members
  • Over 100 Events a Year
  • Over 4800 Realtor® Contacts a Year
  • 53,617 FLARECS.COM Page Views in 2018

The Leadership Forum also featured a presentation by Title Tap introducing an exciting new Marketing WORKshop for REC Members.  The Fund has partnered with Title Tap, a digital marketing company that specializes in serving real estate attorneys and title companies to design a program that can be presented in two 90-minute segments or all together in a 3-hour program.  Please contact Rene’ Rutan at This email address is being protected from spambots.
