Legal Education Programs for Real Estate Councils

Florida ARECS works with The Fund to identify programming for Real Estate Councils. There are a wide variety of programs available, most of which offer continuing education credit with The Florida Bar. One such program entitled To Withhold or Not to Withhold…That is the Question focuses on compliance with FIRPTA. Florida accounts for 26% of international home sales in the United States so settlement agents need to be prepared to comply with all aspects of the Foreign Investment in Real Property Tax Act (FIRPTA).
